BY-O-COAT CO 4KS is a bio-based colloidal silica, sustainably produced from rice husk and developed as a multifunctional additive for solvent-based coatings. Thanks to its colloidal structure and high dispersibility, CO 4KS enhances hardness, scratch resistance, durability, and barrier properties, while also improving pigment stabilization and substrate adhesion. It forms denser, less porous films, reducing the penetration of water and chemicals and significantly extending the coating’s service life. Its excellent compatibility with solvent-based formulations makes it ideal for high-performance industrial, automotive, and protective coatings.
