BY-O-COAT OC 3KS is a bio-based oleophobic colloidal silica, sustainably derived from rice husk and developed as a premium additive for solvent-borne coatings. It provides outstanding oil, hydrocarbon, and water repellency, improving surface durability and cleanability. With its high surface activity, OC 3KS migrates to the surface of coatings and integrates into the polymer network through -OH reactivity, ensuring long-lasting effects. It enhances substrate wetting, blush resistance, anti-blocking properties, and weather durability, making it an ideal solution for high-performance solvent-borne topcoats such as polyurethanes, melamine systems, and epoxy-acrylate combinations.
