BY-O-COAT RC 300S is a bio-based hydrophilic silica, sustainably produced from rice husk, designed as a multifunctional additive for paints and coatings. With a medium BET surface area (150–350 m²/g) and fine particle size (2–4 µm), it ensures enhanced dispersion and uniform particle distribution, leading to improved mechanical properties such as scratch resistance, durability, and hardness. RC 300S also optimizes rheology by improving viscosity and flow behavior, resulting in smoother surface finishes and better leveling. Its smaller particle size increases surface energy, strengthening adhesion to substrates and enhancing overall coating performance.
